Ro-Boat Workshop
I headed a robotics workshop, curating content regarding hydrodynamics, wireless technology and basic manufacturing processes for more than 40 6th-8th graders of my school.
During the process, we budgeted for resources with support from the school to provide students with a hands-on experience that allowed learning of basic circuits and wireless technology through transplanting the circuit from a remote-controlled car into a model of a boat created by each team.
To engage students in the learning process and build collaborative skills, they were divided into teams based on their houses which raced their respective boats along the school's swimming pool.
The workshop was received positively by all participants as it was given an average rating of 4.54 from participating students and all participants suggested a future follow-up workshop on varying topics.
